In October of 2005, residents of Charlotte and its surrounding areas welcomed a new beacon to Uptown Charlotte. Time Warner Cable Arena, built by the City of Charlotte and operated by Bobcats Sports & Entertainment, is home of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats, the AHL's Charlotte Checkers and is the premier destination for top-rated concerts and events.
