kRi and hettie are most known for their message of love. Their music and performance inspires and motivates both young and old. The sound is a unique blend of Poetry, Folk and Neo soul.

As big fans of popular music, the duo has set out to make hits that stir people’s heart and soul, blending poetry and music, making the message just as important as the beat and melody.

Their first album, Sirens Chasin’ the Sun was self released and produced by kRi and hettie with the financial support of their community and a grant from the KY Foundation for Women. The collection chronicles their journey across the country and shows the beginning of their flexibility between poetry and music.
Guest house became their first single to hit radio nationwide when the girls partnered with Downtown Recording and MCB Records in November of 2010. Since the partnership the girls have focused on releasing one single at a time. Their second release, Silver Lining was quick to catch air play all over the country. We created Silver Lining out of our own need for hope.

Their latest creation came in collaboration with The Peaceful Warrior Project, based out of Austin, Texas.
Peaceful Warrior is a program designed to help foster children manage their aggression thru yoga and art.
kRi and hettie were asked to write the theme song for the program. Change It Up is a song about reclaiming your life.

The two split their time evenly between their home in Louisville, KY and touring in their van “Joy”.

The Broad Street Café in Downtown Durham has live music five nights a week, with a diversity of styles! Weekly programming includes: Bluegrass, Open Mic and Blues, Folk, Indie, and Rock! We have a large stage that musicians love, an excellent sound system with trained sound experts and best of all we don’t charge a cover expect for some special events! We also offer wood fired pizza, soups, salads, sandwiches all with a creative twist! We make almost all of our food from scratch and are ingredients are fresh and portions are huge! Don't forget the 10 beers on tap and more than 20 bottled beers to choose from!
