The N.C. Museum of History, founded in 1902, is an exciting place to explore the state’s rich heritage and learn about its people. The museum seeks to preserve state, regional and local history for future generations to enjoy. See a variety of long-term exhibits such as Health and Healing Experiences in North Carolina and the N. C. Sports Hall of Fame.
A trip to the museum is not complete without a stop at the Museum Shop, run by the N. C. Museum of History Associates, the museum’s non-profit partner and membership organization. Browse through books by North Carolina authors, or admire North Carolina pottery and jewelry. Be sure to also pick-up a few tasty treats before heading home.
